Mainly based on costs, the aluminum block versions were much more expensive. Also, if I ever do decide to go big the iron block can hold more power

Also, you should went budget/dsm style, 5.3L, boost, LS6 cam, 500/500 on low boost.

My goal is 400whp to start with and perhaps some nitrous in the near future

I used to ""share" an '83 RX7 with a friend of mine. I wanted to put a v8 in, but he wanted to put a rebuilt 12a in it. Eventually his dad got sick of it sitting around and sent it to a junk yard.
