Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)

I started playing on PC. Definatly a lot more Run 'N' Gun than the older COD stuff. So far I'm at Level 22, and I like the shotgun and knife the most.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)

I think it'd be better on PC, but I have a turd-bomber of a PC and I'm IT so the last thing I want to do is to finish my nights playing a game at the computer. I'd rather be relaxing with a wireless controller in my hand. Plus, it's easier to wipe cheez-it granuels off of a PS3 controller than it is a keyboard.. Haha!

I wish there were a few more DSM'ers on at night. The past few nights it's been me and INTRIGUED following eachother around. Pretty funny shit when you're following someone watching their back and when you save them they look at you and jump up and down!

Anyone down for a game or 5 tonight? I'll be on from ~10:30PM. I love finishing out the nightly buzz with a game of COD4.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)

If anyone wants to add me and my buddies "NOOB" accounts to play with, do it up. It's always funny to beat up on level 3-5 prestige guys and talk shit afterwards when we haven't even gotten up to level 1 prestige (around level 30's for both of us) haha.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)

yeah there is no benefit to prestige, a friend told me in the update thats coming out soon there will be a reward for 10th prestige, level 55. I highly doubt it though, it's only supposed to be new maps.

I've played with a few 10th prestige 55's and they are better than most but not that good. Shit, rank here has nothing to do with skill.

Just do what me and my friend are doing. Make another PSN account and start over going up to 55. Once you get there, prestige one of them and then you have an account still with all the good weapons if you just want to own some people with and another that you can keep building up. I prestiged once so far and by about level 20-35 I was getting pissed a lot because I didn't have good weapons and was losing and the game wasn't fun anymore. Now that I am back up to 55, we both decided that this plan was good and are stickin to it.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)

I have been playing the computer version for just over 3hours and am level 13, almost even on kill/deaths in a match. It would take some getting use to on the controls but I would like to try PS3 someday.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)

Yeah, I hated the thought of FPS games on a console, after playing Team Fortress for years. But you get used to it. I still prefer an Xbox controller over the PS3. I dislike the parallel joysticks and even my small hands dominate the controller. But the cool thing is that almost everyone is equal, hardware style.

I plan on getting/trying the Mouse/Joystick setup for the PS3 though.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)

Yeah, I prefer FPS games on the PC, hands down. But, I was able to get used to the PS3 format and now I am pretty decent at the game.

PS - Those who requested a friend add on PS3, I added ya.
