Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)
I like the PS3 because of the most of the reasons Tom stated; yeah its more expensive but a lot more versitile. Its free online and the servers are usually pretty good; they get bogged down on weekends though but during the week its smooth sailing. I have been playing headquarters with some guys from work; total ownage.
And I am probably one of those guys that shoots you from 200 yards away with the 50 CAL snipe rifle. Once you know the boards and where to hide you can do some major damage.
You have to win the story mode before you go online though; otherwise you will not be prepared for what you are doing to face.

Nice, tell him to add me up if he wants to. You can add my buddy ewert69. He's pretty good, better than me by a lot. We have played almost the same amount of time and he is almost done with his 2nd prestige while I just got done with my first yesterday.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)
I played this over the holidays and honestly still doesn't compare to the computer version in graphics, IMO. But still a fun game.

A lot depends on the cables you use and the TV you are playing on.

And I'm one of those guys that kills you from 200 yards away with an M16, or even a 9mm (I can't believe the long range kills u can get with that!)

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)
Xbox Live is far superior to the PS Network.
The Xbox Live Arcade actually has some cool ass games to download, all have free trials.
You can download any demo from pretty much any game made for the system, as well as "rent" movies, download TV shows, music videos, and Xbox Originals (Classic XBOX1 games)
Also, interacting with your friends is very well executed.
Xbox360 DOES have a more powerful graphics card/processor than the PS3, BUT the PS3 has a lot more actual computing power that has hardly been used yet. Why hasn't it been used? Because it's apparently very challenging to use all of the PS3's power.
I've read that most of the PS3's games have been ports of 360 versions.
The current PS3 library sucks.
I was a Playstation fan. I loved Metal Gear, Gran turismo, etc. The Next Gen versions of those games WILL be amazing.
Blu-Ray is gonna win the war, but I didn't want an Xbox360 to play movies. And they could always make an ADD ON Blu-ray drive, similar to the HD DVD currently offered.
I don't like the lightness of the Six Axis controller, and lack of vibration disappoints my girlfriend.
The 360 controller is more egronomic, your thumbs rest perfectly of the controls and it fits your hands so well.
I wish you could play PS3 users on COD4!! But that will never happen.

In addition to how much Live kicks ass I also use my 360 as my media center. With the recent update it streams all my vids onto my big screen across my network. The last fall update added the divx playback.
Both systems are pretty equal when it comes to graphics but so far the edge goes to the 360. Just about every head to head review of a game goes to 360 by a slight margin though this could change once developers learn how to get the most out of the PS3. 360 does have a better GPU and system memory than the PS3.
PS3 will be nice once their exclusive games come out and BD movies win the format war. (hopefully another price drop than too!)
I rock the 360 over HDMI at 1080P on my Sammy 61" LED DLP. It fucking rocks!

Live and PSN downloading items aren't big selling points for me. The games I buy are on discs that I pop in and play online. I don't like to download stuff to my harddrive if I don't have to.

They won't do that, Microsoft has already stated it wouldn't. They would end up losing money on the deal because of the resources having to go into the add-on and then it will, in essense, make the 360 look obsolete compared to the PS3 since the PS3 has the Blu-Ray already built in and it would do it all for a cheaper price than the 360+add-on.

PS3 has had that just as long as the 360, I do the same exact thing with mine and my PC.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)
Xbox's main problem is they didnt choose the correct media. They are limiting themselves by using the regular DVD format which is limited to 4.4 gigs, which equates to smaller games, less actual HD content.
Being that Sony uses the Blu Ray disks, they are able to use 25-50 gigs of data and create HUGE games that are rich with HD Content. This year WILL be the year of the PS3, programmers are now getting the hang of PS3 Programming.

Wonder if this is also why several big games for the PS3 get ragged on cause they fuck'n lag mid play, and we aren't talking online network. The loading times blow for a few because there is so much detail. Leave the last little tweaks at home boys, all I want to do is play.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)
Mine either, ive never had any problems with it even slowing down in the least bit. Honestly my roomate has Xbox 360 and it takes much longer then my ps3 to load games inbetween sequences, i.e juiced and even halo 3.

Re: Call of Duty 4 (Online)
Both systems are good; of course people are going to say the one they have is the best. I have played both; Xbox has its good points and so does PS3. I know one thing 100% sure though; the COD4 competition is way harder on PS3. You Xboxers will disagree Im sure.

I'm a ps3 guy and I'm going to have to disagree with you. I've played on mine and whooped ass and I go to my friends house who is 100x better and he just gets waisted on his xbox.
