It's kinda a cool mod, I had one on all of my DSM's, but on my 1G I was maxing out the stock MAF and I did not know any better when I put it on my 2G and took out the stock MAF. I would have saved myself a few headaches by sticking with the 2G MAF. I used to recommend the MAFT to everyone and their mom, but when it comes down to it the only real reason to run one is so you can run VTA, and the only reason to do that IMHO is to have a tial bov (which I had on both cars).

Shane put this into perspective for me sort of after the fact--the money spent on this usually could have been spent elsewhere on mods that actually produce power: cams (in my case), dsmlink, IM, alky injection, etc. All would have been money better spent for me.
