My new test lab

This is my new test lab that we use for testing packages i make plus all the environment changes.
15 racks, of 8 pcs per rack, can expand to 12 if we need to.

plus another 26 walk up to pc's for people onsite.

the ones in the racks are for remote testing from across the country...

Re: My new test lab

unfortunately can't do that, need to test the actual environment changes that actually happen to the customers machines, which are almost all xp sp2

only very few linux boxes but we don't distribute software to them, just waiting for the citrix farm to add few more servers for testing as well now so i can test the citrix packages i make

Re: My new test lab

actualy that is a kvm setup that is keyboard and monitor for rack setup only, not an actual laptop. It folds down and can get stored away.

Bad ass Enes. What are the software packages you are testing?

Re: My new test lab

This is for work.

I work with a lot of developers to make standardized installations that we utilize sms to distribute to about 15,000 desktops, some of the software has weekly updates, so they provide me with updated code, i "package" it into a single MSI file and distribute it over the network to the computers/users.
some months deal with about 100 or so major releases each month.

That right there is pure sex. Nice work Enes. I do like the rack mounts.

Now if only I can get my damn Sony DVDR to burn CD's I be happy.
