Re: Whatsup From Slowboy??!!!

So by reading this thread I have learned that either SBR is the biggest DSM vendor or the worst. No matter which board I go on there is a thread for you guys.

Either way Chris did take care of me once. I could never contact anyone but when I got in touch with him I received my part asap. I spoke to Chris on AIM today and asked him about a TIAL BOV and IF they had them in stock and he said always and I said I would call in the morning to order one and he said no I will call you and make it easier. So I would say talk to Chris if you are going to order from them. He seems to be the best for his honesty.

But, it is a nervous buy either way!

Im glad I found another board to whore upon today thanks SBR! lol

Dustin - Glad I asked you what state you lived in, or you might have gotten a 5AM phone call this morning!

I really think that this stuff needs to be taken with a grain of salt. Joe (for example) is a hardass, take no shit from anyone kind of guy. He's also one of the nicest guys I know, and would take a bullet for you. We are all different people, with different personalities, and that is one of the BEST qualities about SBR.

Like Mike, and Jay said, if you have a problem, or have had one in the past, email us, call us, IM us, whatever, JUST LET US KNOW!!! We're not here to screw anyone. We are however out to get your buisness!

If anyone needs to contact me, I'm always here,

That's it, we are going mainstream! And to think, this was all a plot to build traffic and intrest in the site to increase the desire for SBR to come aboard! Muhuhuhuhuh, master plans to rule the world.

This first post is the problem. If you want to know if posting about your site is allowed, read the site rules or PM an Admin prior to posting about it. Not the "slip it in on them" like done here. If you want to sponsor the site, you contact an Admin by PM. If you want to know if there is enough traffic to justify your sponsorship you contact an Admin by PM, or you read the bottom of the main forum page as the statistics are out in the open.

You can stay here and bash on your "prospective customers" all you want, as this is quite entertaining.

Wow. Maybe a Re-introduction is in order. Maybe a bit late to say "hey, started off on the wrong foot..." Worth a shot though. There has got to be a lot of knowledge gained from all the apparent mistakes (and successes) of past. Learning the hard way isn't fun but it is effective when approached from a new point of view. I would like to see what you folks can offer this community in tech and or specials. Your ball.

I don't know what you're talking about.

After all, they do only respond to half of the premises people present in their posts and then twist it around to make it sound like we are all presenting invalid arguments.

Maybe I was just on my second wind trying to make it to page 17 and I was overly optimistic. A lot of constructive advice was given from good people that was completely twisted or overlooked. At some point a buddy or wingman system (or common sense business practice) should have kicked in to put a stop loss on this. Instead they seems to be egging each other on including Mike. High five everyone. Nicely done.

I wonder if today can be a new day. Everyone has bad days (not usually the entire staff at once). I hope the SBR GM can overcome his coworkers ways. There seemed to be some hope there based on his posts.

You silly people and your little pages. I am only on page 9!! Change it in the user CP so you don't have to flip pages so often.

Hey, I'm not the one trying to make for my shortcomings by having longer pages.

This is awesome, all this thread has done for SBR is to LOSE former and potential customers. SBR GM should start his own shop, he could probably do quite well as a leader as long as he instills the respect he has for customers into his employees.

Yes, I am still on Page 9 as well..

I only deal with Chris, and he seems like a good guy.

Obviously opinions vary quite a bit! Funny read

Attn: Mike Huml of Slowboy Racing

I have a customer service issue that was not taken care of. This dates back to 2005 and has not been resolved as of yet. I will give you another opportunity now. I will post up what was said in the e-mails and then go from there. I will edit out my personal information.

Just go ahead and send us back the pipe. Place a note in the box saying what is going on and we will exchange it out for you. Thank you.

Jon,

I don't have a camera but I may be able to round one up. In the meantime I can explain to you very clearly how short the pipe is. The beads on the pipe come flush to where the coupler is on both sides with the beads still being exposed. It kind of looks like this:

coupler pipe coupler

-----------/\_____________/\----------

bead bead

Three inches or even a little longer than the pipe you sent me should work out great. The turbo I have is a hybrid which still retains a stock DSM manifold but has a garret style center-section and a much larger compressor side. The turbo was a 57 trim from Victory Performance which still retained the stock manifold. When I put this turbo on I had to find a shorter air filter because it moved everything over so far near the passenger side that my existing air filter wouldn't even come close to fit. I will try to find a friend who can take a picture so I can e-mail it to you guys. In the meantime, maybe I will just use a piece of exhaust pipe to fill the gap.

...

If it is possible I would like to see pictures of your setup with the pipe on. This way we can take a look at it and see exactly what is going on before we give you a pipe with just estimation. Also this way you can take a picture with a tape measure so we know exactly how short it is. If you have any questions please let me know. Thank you.

I recently ordered your street fmic kit for a 1g dsm. I received it this last Tuesday. I was getting everything all mounted up today when I noticed that the pipe that goes between the turbo and the intercooler is about three inches too short. This is probably because I have a hybrid turbo. Anyway, I need a longer pipe a.s.a.p. I would be more than willing to ship the piece of pipe that is too short back to you. My e-mail address is ... and I ordered the FMIC kit on your website and paid via Paypal where my name is also ... and my address is

...

Thanks in advance."

I followed the instructions your representative gave to me and the package was sent back twice. The second time around your representative told me he would be looking for the package but it was still rejected.

I will publicly post on this forum whether your company, Slowboy Racing, will perform good customer service and do what you said you would do originally. You stated you have everything in your computer dating back to 2003, well this is from 2005 so I expect you to have it. If you are willing to help me out so I have a complete intercooler kit post up a reply on this forum and I will e-mail you any information you need from me. The pipe is still sitting in the box I mailed it to you in waiting to be shipped.
