XC 600's are pretty fast. I had a 98 when I was 13. Fun sled but I perfer somthing with a Suspension now..... My 2000 XC 440 edge race sled was a pile of shit. My 02 Prox 440L was nice and I rarely lost a hole shot. My PRO X 02 440F was slow but a nice rider In trails. And my 03 Prox 440 was fun to press the Dragon button while getting ready to line up. And my Prox 800 mod was nuts. If the snow was packed the sled would go over backwards. My 73 650 starfire racer hit 110 in a 1000 ft. And my 73 292 mod sled hit 55 in 1000 lol.
Im a sled freek... well I use to be... I have been in snow week a couple times.
But that is all in the past now.

Re: A little bit of all year round fun!

U wanna go fast, get a RX-1 turbo HAHA. Me and alec watched a damn firecat F7 run a 10.68 or whatever at the rock last saturday, the new sled designs may be slighty funny looking, but their performance is far from sketchy.

You can insure them? What kinda insurance are you talking about?

If you wreck it, blow the motor or do something that would cost a lot of money to fix... You can get insurance on it to help with those costs. Well worth it in my opinion.

Re: A little bit of all year round fun!

My parents have our on their homeowners insurance somehow I would have to ask them. But for an example, my dad hit a pipe from a sign that was underwater a few years back and tore his rear end right apart and exposed all the gears. This was on a 2000 Honda Fourtrax 4x4. The damage was about 1700 dollars and the insurance covered it just as if it were a car.

Re: A little bit of all year round fun!

If I do end up selling the Glorified, a cheap vehicle is to come. Actually I probably won't even buy a car right away, since I have the Mazdarati But a ATV will for sure be on its way. A cheap one, mind you. Like Craig said, it's cheap and it's a good investment for having fun. Better than sitting around my house all the time in the winter!
