O2 Dump

Well I have run into a small little road block when putting stuff together on my car. Here is a pic real quick to show my exact problem.

I bought this freakin O2 dump housing from RnR awhile back. As you can plainly see, the external dump tube sits dead in front of the turbos little 2" outlet. You can see the blue coupler there I bought from Jet, and about 3" after it there is a big stainless tube in the way. Only way to get some piping there would be to have some crazy bend go around it right after the turbo, which I don't want to do.

I'm speaking with Ryan from RnR about it now, but it seems I am going to have to fix this myself. That dude is worthless. I am curious if anyone else on here runs an external dump O2, and how exactly the dump tube is routed so that it doesn't interfear with the IC piping or dump right on top of anything, and if you have any pics to show it. Thanks

Re: O2 Dump

Usually the dump tube has a 45 degree angle in the middle so it dumps behine the cross brace underneath it. That should give it enough clearance to let the IC pipe fit next to it... but it will heat it up quite a bit.

I would either reweld the dumptube at a different angle or sell that one as is and buy a different O2 housing.

Bring it over in a few weeks and I can fix it up for you. I am packed right now though.

Re: O2 Dump

Mine came bent so it wouldn't dump on the cross-member(SBR's prototype). Also, it comes out a little more than yours does then bends down, not comes down right away.

Re: O2 Dump

can you re-index the compresser cover and run the IC pipe closer to thge radiator? and run a 90 into the Intercooler. Kinda like this

Re: O2 Dump

Thanks for the pics. That one that DSM10SEC has seems to correct it all. I think I'm gunna bring it to Jet to get her fixed though. Thanks for everyones help. I just hate it that I spent all the damn money on this thing and it doesn't even work right without some hacking. RnR = BOOOOO!!

Re: O2 Dump

Carltalon - If I turn the compressor cover so it's against the radiator like that, won't it damage the radiator over time? How did you get fans to fit with it done like that too?
