Sept. 17th (Sat.)

It looks like the next decent day to go racing is Sept. 17th. We have either Cedar Falls for a Test & Tune day or Rock Falls for a Sport Compact day. I am voting for Cedar Falls. It says it is 3.5 hours from Fridley, so it is probably 2.75 hours from Burnsville.

I'm in. I will probably go to Cedar Falls regardless, though I will feel tons better if there is someone with a trailer there.

Re: Sept. 17th (Sat.)

I'm in for Rock Falls simply because it's only like an hour away from me. Cedar would be like 5 hours away which isn't worth it for me at $3/gallon to get there. I hope to have my turbo back by 2nd week of Sept.

Sport Compact days at Rock Falls are lame. I've been to enough of those that I'd never want to waste my time.

I think Battle of the Imports is the same weekend. But I would be up for Cedar Falls, so that we don't all get kicked out. I hope to have maybe 1 or 2 DSMs back up and running by then.

It'd be really nice if I could have my car running by then too!

Re: Sept. 17th (Sat.)

Shane, that is one thing I was thinking about too. Cedar falls probably wouldn't kick us out until we got in the 10's. I will be bringing my car down on a tow dolly, so if anyone breaks we can use it to get back.

Re: Sept. 17th (Sat.)

I only voted for Rockfalls because I might go watch and I wanna see you guys run. I dont know where Cedar Falls is and it'll probably be too far from where I live. But I'm done with racing for the year...

Re: Sept. 17th (Sat.)

If we're around that weekend, I'm going to Cedar Falls as well. If you can open your hood, you've passed their tech inspection.

I was actually surprised they didn't give me any grief yesterday at RF. I only had my wife's 15 year old helmet, no shoulder belts and spilling coolant in the staging lanes. What a day.

Re: Sept. 17th (Sat.)

Can we safely say Cedar Falls? Since it looks like the people who will actually be racing are voting that way.
The racing starts at about 2pm right? What time would most people be rolling out?

Re: Sept. 17th (Sat.)

Yep, I am saying Cedar Falls. Racing starts at 2pm, gates open at 1pm. Meet somewhere on the south side and leave at 10am? That should get us there around 1:30 with a lunch stop. We could meet earlier if people want to get there early.

How about we not waste time stopping to eat lunch. Or maybe we will drive by ourselves, since I can't keep up towing with my Suburban.

Well, this is going to be a bigger deal than I thought!

Sept 17th at CF is the Porkies Shootout!! I guess most of the fast guys from Porkies are going down. It should be a very good time!

Re: Sept. 17th (Sat.)

anyone got room in their car for me! haha

ill most likely be in town (south burbs) but i mean i could drive to the cities or maybe a bit further.. but i am right off of where 35W meets 35E and merges... if that helps someone, i could also pitch in for GAS!

would be greatly appreicated.
