Boggage

Okay... I have a 93 Laser AWD with the following mods:
HKS Filter
Ported Head
Ported 02
Ported 14B
Ported 2G Mani
3" TurboBack Exhaust
Elite MBC

So... on with the problems...

Hokay. So when I'm at WOT, it seems to bog @ 5-6k (bogs like hitting rev limiter). Also it seems to creep after a bit. I think it also bogs even when it doesn't creep. I turned down the MBC to 10 PSI and it still does it!!! Fuel cut? I don't know whats going on! I know you all are the Dissem experts... any ideas?

Thanks,
Jayme

It probably has something to do with your exhaust being cheaper than mine....

Then again, it could (but very doubtful) be a spark issue. Mine never creeped, but when I got on higher boost it hesistated like you describe. Turns out one of my spark plug connections was 100% secure to the plug. I'd check for firm connections. Like I said: Doubtful, but possible.

Change your plugs and get some fuel control on it. You have a fair amount done for no fuel control.

Pump, injectors, afc, maybe a mas upgrade.
You could be experiencing spark blowout (try gapping down the plugs tighter) or since its so cold, you could be experiencing MAS overrun.

Fairly new plugs means nothing. Some of these guys change there plugs as often as they fill the gas tank. Plugs are cheap enough and easy enough to pull, look, and even swap.

Check your wires also. Are they a cheap brand or oil soaked? You could try misting the coil/wires with a cheap spray bottle. If they are arcing out you will see the spark or hear a nice ticking sound.

I would give a good bet on spark plug wires. Is is like a stuttering uinder full boost? Just sounds like its missing at a certain rpm? Thats what happened to me along time ago and I found out it was the wires. Get some taylor wires from summit and see what happens.

I would at least either rewire your stock pump or get a 255 lp pump. A SAFC would be a big benefit too. You should be able to hit low 13's w/o the SAFC though. For high 12's I would recommend one though.

No you need a bigger flapper so the air can get out of wastegate hole versus following the nice turbine outlet hole. Porting the O2 will just help spool and if you did the flapper upgrade then it might help creep.

Depends which part of the O2 you port. If you work on porting the wastegate channel, then you can help get rid of creep. If you make the main exhaust channel huge, then you make it easier for it to creep.

hmm..still creaping huh? That o2 housing is pretty much as ported as a 1g can get, maybe we can look into the larger flapper or a ported 2g option.

2Gs might have a bigger wastegate channel while the 1Gs have a bigger main exhaust channel. So a ported 2G might help or an EVO 3 O2 housing. Or just do the flapper.
