Re: What makes an Evo better than an STi?

agreed about the whole "stages" thing. Like...really? I must have like a stage 4 turbo than too, plus a stage 3 steering wheel. there's still ALOT of people that I talk to that say stage 3,2,1, etc; than I will ask them which camshaft it is they have/or will get for their car or what the duration of the cam is and I get the response "it's a stage 3"....yeah....I have stage 7 tires and wheels also.

Re: What makes an Evo better than an STi?

Leave the stages to the factory mod n00bs.

I like both the Evo and STi. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. If I had the money for either I would take the Evo for the sake I'm more familiar with the 4g63 than the boxer motors and the Evo has more visual appeal to me.

I think overall both are great cars and it comes down to personal preference.

Re: What makes an Evo better than an STi?

Ive noticed that no one has compared the Evo X to the STI. Which do you guys think is better there? Say EVO X vs 2009 STI

Evo X, I hate the STI hatchback design (as do most people, nice to see that for 2011 Subaru is bringing it back to a sedan platform).

I like the hatchback design, just not the ghey altezza looking taillights. IMO, the best years of the WRX/STi were the 04/05.

I'd take an X over an 09 STi. No doubt.

I'll vote for 06/07; the build quality and interiors seem much nicer.
