Someone let us lollygaggers know what goes down when you get back! Did the LSE stealth make it, how did JET do, etc. We want numbers and war stories!
If anyone needs vids posted, pm or call me.

No, the bitch has been fucking with us all weekend. The stuff that was suspose to be hard, went easy, the "easy"...well I went home for sleep at noon today. The time before that was friday morning.
Oh well, we are 3 finish welds on the exhaust away from initial startup/dyno tune, then I'll be out on the road.
I am probably going to the track saturday.

Yeah I was out too late last night and woke up late. Plus I didn't know if the stealth was gonna be there oh and the 36 dollars in gas + 10 dollar admission could go towards car parts.

I was there, met a lot DSMers, nice to meet you all, seen Jet nice guy, cool car. I think his best run was a 12.5, but there was some issues. I hope he doesn't mind me telling his time. I will let him explain the rest. Met scheides today, thx for the o2 and info.
good day, needed to relax, was well worth it.

Hey, ^ Think I talked to you for a while at the track. Glad to see many dsms out there. It sucked though, trying to get in. I believe for me, it was an hour and ten minute wait. Cause my CD started to play from the begining again lol.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
The place was packed up with cars. I was could not hook up my first run and then I boged it a couple of times. I was hitting 2.0 60' times. Finally I launched it at 6200 rpms and gave it a lot of hell and I hit a 1.860 60'. The best run of the day was an 11.2@127.9 The turbo is still the same FP3052, the boost was spiking to 34psi and settling at 31psi. Still running the same 2.0 I had 3 years ago, but now with double springs, built tranny and a quartermaster twin-disk . Here is the time slip ... I was really excited that I hit 101.68 in the 1/8th mile

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
Congratulations on the time Vassil. You keep pushing that car and turbo farther and farther. You must have the tune pretty well dialed now.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
good times today, I saw a 1g running with an unplugged wastegate run through 2nd and send the #4 rod through the block. I suppose running unlimited boost on a 57trim will do that. The car was running on E85 which was pretty cool to see. I believe someone else on here ran a personal best but I'll let him tell the story.

Actually Kevin... it was desolate's car. I feel bad because I jinxed him. I said to log it to see if it was knocking. Thou(desolate) said.."i'm too lazy" and me jokingly said.... "you won't be lazy when that shit blows up and you gotta pull it out" and sure enough... next run, KABOOOM!M!M!M!M!MM!. He's got a 61mm on a DSMlink, magnus etc.. on 33 psi 110 octane untuned I believe. Right Thou? You can chime in now.. just thought I'd clear that up that I feel like shit jinxing you.

I thought that the wastegate being unplugged that it would run unlimited boost and i figured thats why it blew. I hope that you get that thing going again I'm glad to see someone running E85!!

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
So was there alot of 15, 16 & 17 second cars there racing? That's kind of the reason I did go watch, because I figured there would be as usual.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
Yeah, it was a pretty crappy day. It was unbelievably packed. Pretty much a waste of time. I had issues with my boost controller on the dyno (Joe P) and it continued on my first run, then I replaced it with an Elite one. My next run it was missing over 6k. I found a spark plug wire had popped off part way. I ran a 12.4@99 (top end miss from overboosting) the next was 14.0@111 (miss from spark plug wire).
Went to get in line for the next run and the clutch wasn't quite right. Messed around with it for a bit and something was definately amiss. I decided to take off and by the time I got to the interstate I didn't really have a clutch left. The slave seems to be moving fine, I am hoping there are just some loose bolts on the flywheel or clutch again. I may have to use the red loc-tite on them, they had blue on this time. Either that or I fragged a disc on my twin disk.
I got to meet some guys though, so that was cool. I also got to see some guys I haven't seen in a while (Jim, Kevin, Kyle, etc.). I was surprised to see Cher, his ass was supposed to be in NC! I'll try to have it running again by the dyno fest.

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
I got to talk to Jet, (nice guy) and I saw quite a few DSMs. It had to laugh at the fact that pretty much the DSMs were the fastest cars at the track! That Buschur built Evo MR was very nice! And the guy with the 11.5 1G was really nice as well. Just as I was leaving, I saw that 1G blow up!

Re: Rock Falls April 9th (sunday)
Ok I was the black 1g awd 91 dsm. I was on 110 32-33psi unhooked wastegate because I'm letting the exhaust pressure control the boost. I know what I'm doing. It was an adjustable wastegate arm you can twist in & out. With the vaccum line hooked it sees 21psi. With it unhooked the car sees 30-33psi which is fine for my fuel system on 110 leaded race fuel. Stupid pos internal wastegates. Launching at 5500rpms antilag with 12-15 pounds of boost & NLTS. I'll try to explain what happened when it blew. The car was logged before I went to the track. 0 counts of knock at that boost level running richer than I've ran before on a street tune. Anyhow it came down to the third run of the day. Launch was good, 1st to 2nd was great. Third came and it kepted sputtering just like a misfire. I lefted it in WOT because the last run it ran exactly the same. Pop then kick in. It started to pop/misfire/spudder in 3rd very badly, like I fouled the plugs. I didn't even hit boost because it was misfiring so badly. The boost gauge was at 5psi when it blew. My theroy is the massive misfire somehow changed into massive detnation and it popped. That is the only way I can see how it happened. If I was in full boost when it happened it'd be a different story. In the previous run my car did the same thing but it caught back on and spooled up so that's why I left it in WOT. After 4 years of running on the same block/engine after 35,000 miles of hard beating it finnally let go. 1g rods/2g pistons combo I'm not sad. I'm still comtemplating but I believe I am going to get out of dsms though. I don't have the time or money to keep up with the power levels I want to push.
