Re: RF Sport Compact Day, Sunday April 10th
I was the first one down the track today, with a 12.5@109.9, best run of the day, as the track got worse as the day went on.
I did run a 12.9@104.6 on "low boost", with the wideband logging the full run at richer then 10.00! LOL. never botherd runnin on street boost before, so I was happy with 12s on street boost.
That black 1st gen neon that was mentioned, has a stock SRT turbo and intercooler in it with a bad clutch, running i believe 6 lbs of boost or so. It was running decent times.
256 cars raced today, and less then a dozen in the 12s or lower.
I wanted to race that nice expensive turbo porsche, muahaha, that would hurt some egos.

Re: RF Sport Compact Day, Sunday April 10th
There were three white 2g's.
One had a carbon fiber hood and ran what I saw a best of 11.99
The other didn't do a whole lot
Then Shane broke his shifter on the first run, then on the second run ran a 12 with nearly everyone in the lanes hooting and hollering about all the sounds and time.
Yes that was me in the white Galant.

I think that was the second one that I mentioned above, I saw it up in the air with the wheel all cocked out, but that was about it. Carl I know you saw it then too.

sounds gay, glad I stayed home and made money instead.
Although watching 250 16 second cars could have been fun...

Re: RF Sport Compact Day, Sunday April 10th
I didn't have a good day. The track was packed and with even slower cars than normal. They actually announced over the speakers that the cars slower than 16 seconds would have to wait for some lanes to clear our during eliminations, because the 16 second class was so mich bigger than usual that there wasn't any lanes left. On my first attempted pass, my some welds on my crappy Tiawan short shifter broke and the shifter just fell over before I got out of 1st gear. Swapped in a stock shift from Jim's car. Second pass, was crappy track and bad driving. 2.2 60', short shifting and not getting into 4th gear, ended up running a 12.0. 3rd pass in eliminations, I had problems getting off the line and eventually end up blowing the motor up by shifting from 3rd into 2nd, in my usual brilliant style. If the car ever runs again, I think I will have Cher adjust my shift cables and not try to shift into 4th very quickly, especially with a different shifter in the car. The tranny liked to go into 1st and 2nd easy, but 3rd and 4th were hard to get to. I probably almost went into 2nd gear instead of 4th on the 2nd pass also, and hit the "gate" between 2nd and 4th. I don't know how many things are broke yet besides the motor. Maybe clutch and tranny also. I am done for a while though.

Sorry to hear about that Shane. Hope the damage is less that it sounds.
Did Jim ever get a pass in on his 2G? I don't see any mention of it.

Re: RF Sport Compact Day, Sunday April 10th
Shane, again sorry to see the motor go. I hope there isn't a lot of $$$$ involved on getting the car back up and running even though it more than likely will. Anything I can do, let me know.
RF is a major suck on SC day. Cars keep getting slower and there is a lot more of them. I didn't race yesterday, but from what I saw it took forever for some of the lanes to go through. A lot of people waited for ever to get another chance to run.
The WHITE 2g with the carbon fibber hood ran an 11.99 at 115 on pump IIRC.
Jim
