So did they show coverage of the Cop slamming the but end of his Gun into one of the Racers while he was face down in the Ground? (knocked the kid out and the side of his skull is mushy now?
It was one of the guys over on mnracing. He was sitting crosslegged on the ground and a cop was yelling at him from across the street to lay face down.... but he didn't hear it until the cop was walking up towards him... as he was turning to face the ground the cop was tapping him in the side of his head yelling at him for not going face down faster. Then he hit him with the butt end of his gun. and knocked him out.. His friend that was laying next to him was like WTF, 4 other people saw it and all of them were trying to get the guys Badge number but, he wouldn't give it and another cop came over and told the officer to walk away, etc.
I bet that never made it to the air either!

Personally, I have no problems with police. My brother is a cop in Lakeville and I am friends with several cops. But for every good cop, there are 2 asshole cops. Some police officers just look for shit to hit you with. All we ever hear about is how bad we are... but what about the police brutality cases? Why do so little of those make the air? Hmmm....
Is it because the media has probably been "influenced". No in a bad way but def. indluenced. The public does not want to hear about cases of police brutality because they want to feel at ease with our men in blue. But all they want to hear about is how bad we are and what the popos are doing to stop it.
Yes, if you race, thats your problem. Don't whine when you get caught. No shit. But when they give you stupid, meaningless tickets to meet their quota... thats when shit goes bad. Cops aren't all good. Kiel... I'm sure you know some dickhead cops yourself... so don't say there aren't any.

The whole media coverage was pathetic... I was however very surprised to hear the car count of 400... jeez... can I say "Fast & Furious". What a waste of tax-payer money. Oh and the thing about the cop hitting the guy, that's a regular thing. Just never reported or caught on tape, here in MN. Peace.

If anyone got wrongfully struck then they should file a lawsuit and hopefully things will get sorted out properly by the system. I am sure they don't a lot of the time, but you might as well try. You can always start writing lots of letterers and editorials to officials and newspapers.

"Sure it sucks to get tickets, but it sure is nice when one is there when you're in need of help"
Ok, so if your in dire need of help and the police are sitting there giving stupid tickets for no front plates, speeding, and other pointless traffic violations then i guess your not gonna get much help.
The Orange County Sheriffs Department in california here has stated that they are telling the police officers to not pull as many people over anymore because there are many more uses for this cops that are spending more and more time pulling kids over and searching cars. Why cant MN do this?
ive met maybe 4 good cops in my life, the rest are assholes, including JDM (jk). ive seen people getting beaten by cops, ive been yelled at for just buying gas at the mobile station (which i could bet that it was the same cop that hit the kid with the butt of his gun, because he wouldnt give me his badge number either). Honestly the majority of minnesota dont know shit and are on a power trip, do you know why you dont ever hear, wow there are a lot of good cops stopping people out here today, its because the good cops are the ones that help people, not put them in shitty situations over money and insurence, they hand out a ticket any chance they get and not realise what it does to the citizens they are supposed to protect.
I will NEVER respect any traffic cop, they are the lowest forms of life on this planet. ok i know that being a little harsh but i think MN cops are the worst police ive ever seen.

A couple buddies and I were walking thought CUB foods to get his mom some Cough Syrup and we're laughing and joking around with eachother and then the next thing I see is my buddy Mike pinned up against the freezer by some cop. He has him by the shirt just SCREAMING at him for stealing (which he didn't) and wounldnt let go of him. He is talking to him respectfully-- "I'm sorry officer, I don't know what you're talkign about, I did'nt steal anything! Honest! I'll even unload my pockets..." "Don't you get fucking smart with me! I know you did... I saw you." He finally let lossened his grip and Mike unloaded all of his pockts on the floor and showed him he didnt steal the DVD. "Where'd you throw it then?" At this point the store manager comes up and askes what the commotion is about and directs all of us into the AP room. We watch the video tapes of us walking into the store and grabbing the cough meds and walkign around. We came no wehre near the movies. The damn cop didn't even apologize and walked out. WTF???

Thats what I hate most about cops. They think they have all the authority. I've seen plenty of them use their flashy lights just to get pass traffic. Then there are those who are mean as f*** to you when you're trying to be on their good side. I had this lady pull me over for turning on an orange (after I flicked off some tow truch guy who flicked me off also)...I was really nice to her and all I got back was "WHY DID YOU FLICK THAT GUY OFF?" and yadee this and yadee that. Then I told her that I had the right of way still and she was like "YOU WANT TO TAKE THIS TO COURT, I"D BE HAPPY TO. I GET PAID TIME AND A HALF." At that point I was just like...screw this, if I keep hearing her yell at me I'm going to do something I'll regret. And sure enough I was on the verge of driving all through town to find her car and smash the crap out of it....but I got over it soon enough..haha. And They always have their excuse "I'm just doing my job." You dont kill people for just sticking their hands in their pocket to grab some i.d. or anything unharmful. Like that black kid who got killed when he was unarmed. The cops always get away with murder or breaking laws...wtf.
But there are those really cool cops out there, but thats rare to find in this city.

Is there a particular reason you brought race in to this?

You want me to explain that to you so you KNOW what happened now??
The "BLACK" kid who "didn't" have a gun actually "did" have a gun. He was running from Police with a gun in his hand. When he was out of police sight, he dropped the gun. Seconds later, he reappeared with his back to officers, at which time he turned around quickly with something in his hands, which wasn't a gun, but officers assumed was due to the fact that seconds later they had seen him with a gun in the same hand. They opened fire. Now... I see this as: 1) Don't run from the cops if you didn't do anything wrong 2) Don't run from the cops if you didn't do anything wrong. 3) For God Sakes, if the cops have seen you with a gun, but you threw it away, but still have something in your hands, and you quick turn at an officer, he's gonna shoot the hell outta you.
I will admit that he "IN THIS INSTANCE" could have gambled on his life and won, and not shot the kid at the same time. But if it's shoot or be shot at, You would be lying if you said you'd take a bullet to save some random life who was threatening others and was deemed to be carrying a gun. Not me.
Just like it's my fault that you guys street race and we are forced to make arrests and give tickets. Like it's no big deal. Well it is. It pisses people off, and we're here to serve the people.
Put your damn front license plate on, buy yourself a scanner, a radar detector, quit speeding, and get your "Buddy who knows this one guy who used to be a cop" to sit at the end of the block and watch for cops. And if you still get tickets, then it's your own damn fault.
