That is the point. Good thing you can see past it.

Well I'm not totally innocent to the whole "gaming" thing. I played Sudoku for three days straight at work until I realized I either suck at numbers or am just plain dumb, and will never beat it. But I did give up eventually

I tried that shit once, and only once. I though I was good at numbers but I guess not. Maybe that is why I am switching majors in my junior year of college? Fuck calc and physics, I am not good at that shit.

WOW is a totally different thing though. It is not soduko.

Re: How WoW ruins lives

addiction is an addiction

once you get into the game, you will think differently, explaining over the net is pointless, you have to sit down and play a little bit... after that if you have any type of competitive attitude you will be hooked.

Re: How WoW ruins lives

I use to play alot of computer games back in the day when I had spare time.

I was hooked on Starcraft first for a long time, played over the net with friends. Tribes 1 and 2, Halo, the Need for speed series and DRIVER 1, 2, 3, are my favorites. I also loved playing Medal of Honor Allied Assault, good times meeting up with CVD and owning people, havent done that in a while because I lost the first disk and only have the expansion disk...

I really only like multiplayer solo shooter and racing games. RPG crap is way too boring, if there isnt a gun or car involved then im out

I havent sat down and played a computer game in probably over a year. I do mess around with my xbox every now and again, but no where near what I used to back in high school and the first year or two in college.

Decided being social was a better thing to do so I got away from my computer haha.

Re: How WoW ruins lives

My motto is, if any studio/game maker is cocky enough to charge you monthly, then it's probably an addictive game. I'll stick to good old FPS and RTS games at the accasional LAN. I'm in CAL for BF2 but play one day a week, I'm getting too old to play games every night.

A friend of mine's friend had his wife leave him because she was so addicted to the game. He found out she had been paying a baby sitter to watch the kids so that she could play during the day while he was at work. They went to marriage counseling and came up with a compromise (to play only 4 hours a day) and the next day she packed up HIS computer and left the kids with a baby sitter. Fuck world of war crack.

Re: How WoW ruins lives

Yeah I agree, and since it went through 1 person before the source I wouldn't have believed him.... however I was there when his friend got home and called him to tell him wtf had happened, tweaking out may I add.
