Re: Best experience ever!
This thread is retarded. Why on earth would a guy spend 20k over sticker on a car that can now be purchased at sticker price? And then, why would the guy leave it over night after a tire change knowing some little punk tire tech was just going to flog on it the next morning?
What was the point in even posting this nonsense?
Even if you really did drive the car, which maybe you never even did, you could have cut out the BS and just posted that you liked it.

Re: Best experience ever!
Why would he pay 20k over sticker price, prolly cause there's only 3500 of the cars and they sold faster than rice in china. People are willing to pay almost 70k right now and are still searching for them.
And on the other hand why would he leave it over night. The shelbys front tires are Goodyear Eagle F1s with double layered rubber to protect the rim from curb damage and scuffs, 10 inches in width (13 in rear). And aren't exactly easy to get ahold of quickly. So before you say I'm full of shit on these please, get your facts straight fuckface.
And some punk little tire tech lol, I'm not a tire tech chief, just offered to do it because it's prestigious car, so once again fuck off and don't post in my thread if your going to be a bitch.

Re: Best experience ever!
We had a good 6 Shelby GT500s in this spring/summer that the owners had paid 20k over sticker on. The prices are and should go down a lot though. With how many of them they are making, they might end up being less rare than the 03/04 Cobras.

Re: Best experience ever!
I must have missed typed, I meant 7 in stock left in the country but they're got swallowed up and the demands still high, look on ebay at somepoint.
Oh and ecoli, they made 2 for every dealership in america, so they made around 3500 of them.

Re: Best experience ever!
Ford didn't give a solid production number, they will build as many as people will buy. Some of the dealerships here have 2 on the lot now and have already sold a bunch. I think they dealers are trying to make it seem like they will be rare, so they can jack up the prices way over sticker.

Re: Best experience ever!
We have only done one with the KB so far, most of the ones we have worked on and tuned have been pulleyed stock blowers with various bolt-ons. We made 732 with the KB stage 3 and a full exhaust system with long tube headers. We went up a pulley size for less boost when we gave it back to the customer and it was making around 722. Without a full exhaust on them, I would expect it to be more like 650-680.

Re: Best experience ever!
AHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA THIS THREAD ROCKS THE SOCKS OFF ALL THOSE ON THE DOCKS!!!
There's a place where I live where the "techies" or whatever the fuck they are take cars out and beat on them like fuckwads. One time, I was filling up there and I saw these kids take a car out at full bore and the fuckin' rear tires just fell off. These retards fuckin' didn't even put the lug nuts on! I also caught the retards that did my dad's brakes for him at Sears burning out in his Pacifica! Not that it's a cool car or anything, but my dad ended up getting all new brakes for free after I bitched out everyone there. People that take customers cars out and beat on them for a few quick "look how cool I am for 10 seconds" moments are retards, even if you justify the guy telling you to. If you break it, you buy it...
and then I wait in the parking lot til' you get off work and I hit you over the head with a tire iron.

Re: Best experience ever!
Just goes to show his maturity and intelligence again. Get a GT500, live paycheck to paycheck and never pay insurance premiums (because they would be WAYYYYY out of his price range). Unless mommy and daddy pick up the tab. You are 18 years old (and who knows what job title you hold....Tire Tech, detailer, general bitch, whatever...) there wouldn't be a loan agency or insurance company that would touch you. I leased a Ranger in the 90's with a perfect record and great credit rating and still paid almost $300 a month for insurance (I was 19 years old). Not to mention the payments were $240 a month.
This reminds me of the orginal thread by this idiot.
Like I said before, ditch the bitch and let's go racing!!!!!

Re: Best experience ever!
Just forget about the Shelby and put it in her butt in the backseat of your Passat, if you buy that. Or whatever you end up buying...

If you are talking about the limited production 08 Shelby KR or whatever it is then you have the start to a valid argument, because yes, people are signing up to spend 20k over sticker just like when the GT500 originally came out.
Also, you said you fixed the tire and test drove it to make sure there was nothing wrong. Why would he allow you to test drive it again in the morning if you already verified that it was ok?
You are a tool, and I will continue to post in this thread.
Oh, and what is a double layered tire? Never heard that terminology before? Care to elaborate? I dont know of any tire that doesnt have more than one layer.

Re: Best experience ever!
Can I ask why you would want to live paycheck to paycheck for a big 4000lb, $40,000 piece of plastic with a solid rear axel? And if the GT500 is around $40-$45K, why the fuck do you want a Passat, those can run ya close to $30K+ with options! I don't think you know what the fuck you're doing. Get a loan, get a used car that can be made dank, and don't throw away the next 10 years of your life. There's no fucking way you can go to college if you buy a new car at 18. I have 5 friends that have done that since High School when we graduated and now it's either sell their car, which they don't want to, or keep paying it off til' they're 26. I'm not trying to preach here, but I myself almost bought a new car and decided that I'd just be fucking myself with it.
Plus, you probably didn't think of the "what ifs."
What if... you crash it, and it's you're fault? You're fucked!
What if... you can't afford the insuance or loan payment? You're fucked! CALLING REPO MAN!!!
What if... you get a DUI or something? You're triple fuckfucked! No license for 6 months, having to pay loan for that long, having to pay insurance too! And you can't drive it!
WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU GOING TO DRIVE IN THE WINTER IN MAINE?!??!?
