A rim is the circular edge of something. But if you do look in the dictionary, a rim is also defined as "A circular metal structure around which a wheel tire is fitted." It is just popular to be snooty and get upset when people call them rims instead of wheels.

I dont like them. However my favorite wheels are the stockers on my talon. I would only swap for lightweight wheels.
