Re: Relatively new here...

haha, alright man... didnt know you weren't looking to mod it altogether, thats obviously a whole different story. And a nicely tuned ITB setup with stack filters is just fine for daily driving Unfortunately your car in stock form isnt much to brag about, but if thats what youre going for, then awesome. I think most of us get sick of unreliability and just want a reliable, nice, fun car to get to work and back.

ive personally never been a fan of nitrous either, but my civic is getting a small shot to spool the turbo just so i can be that much better of a track queen

Re: Relatively new here...

"Nicely tuned" is a very lucrative statement; what is well tuned one day can be completely out of whack the next. I had enough of that with the Talon, no more. I'll let a computer do the thinking for me. My car is very good at doing what it was designed to do. A very well handling, quick, responsive, and fun roadster. It is lightly modded with bolt-ons. The car does exactly what I want it to do; handle better than most cars on the road, modded or not, and be quick enough to have fun with while still winning the majority of races encountered.

P.S. How exactly did your welcome thread become a thread about Stooks?

Re: Relatively new here...

I like s2k's!

I dont know what youre talking about, when you tune a car you tune the ECU. if youre doing straight tuning based upon a specific environment or temperature, then youre about 30-50 years behind Part throttle tuning is your best friend

I would cry if i was ever beaten in a race by an s2k

Re: Relatively new here...

civic will probably be on jackstands, and I dont illegally race.

I'm not bashing your car dude, i love S2k's and I'd love to own one, and yes, it is faster and better handling than most of the commuter jalopies you'll run into on a regular basis. No more need for a pissing contest, lets just be friends!

anyway, thanks for the kind welcome people, hope to see everyone around this summer.

Re: Relatively new here...

Hey Chris, you should bring your car out on memorial day weekend to BIR. They will be having lapping on sunday and monday (A high performance car control clinic). I'm gonna be out there to help out with the race (don't have a car right now that could race). I can't remember what the cost will be but it will be a NASA sanctioned event. Good time to get some seat time on a real track.
