Sounds like this...I haven't seen an evo x have a specific cylinder misfire code ever without actually having a problem that wasn't good.

Before jump off the cliff, thinking new motor bandwagon, a compression test and coil swap is in order. PM me... I can bring some tools over to diagnose.
