Yeah they let us choose either block or poured foundation (same $). Had no idea which is better so after asking around we chose poured. So apparently they just build a mold and pour concrete in to fill it up. Kinda cool to see.

ICF- Insulated Concrete Forms
It is a system of styrofoam forms held together by plastic ties and filled with concrete. Depends on the system you go with there are a few different ones. It works very well and the r value is crazy. Also they say you can screw sheetrock directly to it so no need to fir in the basement wall just vapor barrier.
I have installed 100 plus of these basement systems and would recommend them to anyone.
