Re: ECMLink Tuning Questions (Logs Included)

You're saying your "840"cc injectors are acting like 546cc on pump gas? That means they need to flow > 50% more gas to run e85 correctly, which is not the case. Have you logged your fuel trims to verify they're around 0 with that -17% correction? I did some searching, and almost every post says that 850cc injectors should be around -31% on e85.

http://www.jeffgst.com/e85global.html

That is where I am getting the equation from.

Also here

In the table at the bottom you will see it says ~-20 for 880s on e85

Flip it to 31% and check, otherwise if you dont believe andrew, post it up on the link forums. they will likely say the same thing.
The reason your car is running like ass is that your fuel trims are not set properly to the global value you set. Doesnt ECMLink have some kind of thing where you tell Tom Dorris what you have and he will send you updated settings, or some kind of autotune thing? I thought this was part of the V3 updates.

Re: ECMLink Tuning Questions (Logs Included)

I will try it today and see how it goes. It wasn't that I did not believe him, I was just setting it based on everything that I had read. I am not sure about sending Tom my info, and I have no idea where to check on this. I am running V2 with the ECMlink software, so if it is only something for users with V3 hardware, I may be out of luck.

Well if you PM Tom on the dsmlink forums or just make a thread on the tuning forum, state exactly what you have, and ask what your base settings for e85 should be, they will be able to help im sure.

General rule of tuning: go with what works on your car, not what is published on the internet (although it can be helpful starting point)

Re: ECMLink Tuning Questions (Logs Included)

Thanks for the responses guys. I set it to 31 and the AFRest is now a lot closer to what the wideband is showing. My problem now is that the car is stuck in open loop. Causes of that? Could I have fouled out my front O2? I can get it to cycle during cruise at some points, but during idle the car shows 0 on all trims and O2 will not cycle. I have adjusted the BISS, played with the MAFcomp settings, and double checked my fuel pressure(with vac line off).
