Very nice! You are running out of stuff to add to your car It's going to start getting really (if it hasn't already) expensive to start changing anything, lol.

That's my plan to offset my dumb ass huge wheels, get the girodisc rotors, same concept as lighter wheels

Lomker, I am guessing you couldn't justify the rear 2 pieces? I am struggling internally with myself between the 2 piece and 1 piece for when I finally buy them.

That would be sweet to go nuts on rotational weight upgrades, driveshaft, rotors, wheels, etc. Not the most cost effective way to pick up a few HP, but it's nice to get some essentially free HP. (By free, I mean not running any more boost, timing, not really changing the tune etc)

At some point that is all there is left to change though, for power.

No. The rears don't do that much braking which is why my new setup will have milder rear pads than the front (XP8 vs XP10). I don't care about weight, just cooling.

As far as what's left for future changes--driver mod, aero and suspension adjustment.

The motor will have to come out at some point and I'm leaning toward a 2.2 overbore. I'm wondering if higher compression pistons would make sense.

Re: Evo X upgrades

CBD hood installed at RS this morning. I need to relocate the windshield washer sprayers to the wiper arms.

We did a compression test. Not so hot, which is what I figured. I'll check it mid-Summer and see if it is degrading. Ron joked that they are Subaru numbers.

approx:
113 113 113 103

A few other people had done it and Buschur thought it'd be okay. It wasn't.

^ word, I've read the same thing. Sometimes it seats properly and everything goes well, and sometimes they're bitches. I guess that's part of the risk with saving a shit ton of money.

I appreciate you being kind. Fact is that I was an even worse n00b at the time of the motor build and didn't completely understand the risk that I was taking.

I'll just keep adding oil and if I'm employed come Winter then I'll try to have it pulled and fixed. It's making good power, etc.

Re: Evo X upgrades

Compression is even at least like Kracka said

But I am curious what should these numbers be? I know Scheides numbers were like 150's...but is that where yours should be?

Sounds like a fat tire beer hone and a set of rings and she will be making good power again!

Ron said 135-145 is typical for an Evo. Some pistons are naturally tighter/looser than others. JE are known to be loose anyway.

FTMFW! It broke 450 as she sits, so who knows what it'd do with better compression.

Re: Evo X upgrades

Well like you said your car still makes very solid power...that just means you could've made even more I guess (insert bench racing blah blah blah here).

As long as it works this summer who cares...no downtime > good compression.
