Yeah Texas was a blast... probably the best weekend I've had there! It's obvious that when Chris and I get together it's a ruckus.... yeah I said it! Everyone was really nice, with the exception of the butt ninja driving an Evo X but that's another story. I knew a lot of the guys in NTEC already but everyone was nice and very talkative.
Oklahoma was scary as hell... being in the middle of nowhere on a semi-small road at 3AM with a convenience store full of crazy people (of all spectrum's) is a treat. I also bought a slim jim, so if anyone wants their doors unlocked give me a call, might just do it for a handjob. Also skip Tulsa if you know what's best for you... it's lame.
We were on a turnpike with a speed limit of 75 at about 4AM... that was really weird. No cars, no lights... saw 10 deer on the side of the road and a coyote... would have sucked to hit one of them at between 85 and 5. As Hughes said we decided to pull over. However this was after I was literally hallucinating.... I thought I was driving through a tunnel, probably had something to do with 9 1/2 hours of sleep and massive amounts of liquor in the past 3 days or something.
We pulled in between two church vans at like 6AM. When we woke up 1-1 1/2 hours later one of the vans had moved, was a little strange but didn't bother us too much. By 7:30 we were already back on the road burying the needle in the omni again, we ended up on 35 as Chris said and went through the armpit of the US of A... that would be Kansas City another city to skip if you know what's best for you.
Somewhere in the middle of Iowa we ended up on a side road where a hick decided he would put a truck in the back of another truck and tie a truck to the bigger truck... yeah exactly. He then freaked out when he saw us and drove the bigger truck over the truck that was tied to it. God I hate the bible belt. We pulled over to watch the show for a bit but as it got boring and he started yelling at us we ended up pulling off.
After that, the trip was normal but it was insane up to that point, I wasn't sure how I was still alive Sunday night but I decided to take the Evo out after getting home because that's how I roll.
As far as Texas? To many stories to list here but it was fucking insane... and awesome.
