Re: brian crowler cams

We have some BC 272's in my brothers 2.0
I have some BC 280's in my 2.3
have some old crower 272's in my buddy's 2.4

aftermarket cams are aftermarket cams, if you compare them to stock cams, the difference is huge, if you compare them to each other the difference is small.

I personally would recommend spending the money elsewhere. Too many DSMers quickly jump into UNNEEDED mods when their car is falling or about to fall apart.

Save up for a racing trans, brakes, turbo.....things that go bad. No amount of cams or tuning will help a shitty car shift, reduce blowby, or stop without shaking.

Word. That is some actual good advice for some people, go do some maintenance before upgrades in performance.

Re: brian crowler cams

my head is ported new valves and springs but I am planning on going with a map stage 5 head or somethig compareable as next winters project. the head on my car where done buy a freind at the votec so where very inexspensive. was debating on putting cams in and din't want to settle with 272's if I can't get by without springs then will wait until next winter.

my car doesn't need brakes, has a brand new 50 trim, and new mortor with wisco forged pistons. My race tranny will be purchased by spring, the only stock things left are intake manifold ( ported ) and cams.
