Yeah, me and Andy (fattyboombatty) welded up my whole exhaust the night before/morning of the cookout, it was not fun adding to my welding sunburn with some more regular sunburn.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- August 26, 2007 -- Rogers, MN
Nobody with DSM can commit this early, most cars will be broke and fixed ten times before then. From my experience most people will know a few days before if they will be able to make it.
My DSM has never broken down on me. Knock on Wood. I have had it for almost three years and its never failed me. I only put about 7,000 miles a year on it, but still its never missed a beat. I should guess it might have to do with it not being heavily modified like most everyone elses on this site. I am going for looks rather than speed, so on the outside it looks pretty good, but has only the basic of mods under the hood. I guess the Engine light being on for the past two years, since I installed the JET computer, is just a light and doesn't seem to effect the way it drives.
So basically what I am saying is I should be there to show off my POS.

I'll be there too. With the Talon. It won't be broken.

Even people are coming to it from the Avenger Club. This is going to be a huge turn-out.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- August 26, 2007 -- Rogers, MN
Hey everyone,
We've had a lot of sign ups in the last week. We have 64 cars signed up so far. That's great. I also have a flyer put together at: http://www.mn3s.org/cookout-flyer.doc
I always keep a hand full of these in my car in case I spot a nice Mitsu somewhere. Also, if you work at a business that is car oriented, maybe print a few off and have them laying on your counter or pin one up. Any advertising you can do will help. Every year we get a few people that come to the Cookout that had no idea it existed before they got a flyer.
Thanks,
Curt

Its also a lot harder to have it at a park and guarantee parking for 150+ cars and have electricitiy. Most parks, if you rent the shelter, there is no guarantee on the parking spots. If you want to walk around when you are at the Cookout, there is a park right behind the Middle School.
With the great responses I got last year having it at the Middle School, we'll be having it at a school for many years to come.

I feel the parking lot was an upgrade to the grassy lot, and you have good points.

Re: All Mitsu Cookout -- August 26, 2007 -- Rogers, MN
Hey everyone,
I received a bunch of prizes from Corporate Mitsubishi last week. Got some t-shirts, hats, a big cooler, and some smaller items.
Sign ups are looking good. I just updated the page. We've got 74 signed up so far: http://www.mn3s.org/cookout-list.html
And don't forget to hand out a flyer when ever you come across a nice Mitsu. They really do help spread the word.
Thanks,
Curt

Thats awesome that Mitsu is donating stuff for this! Are any of the local dealerships co-sponsoring the event again?
