After you and Mo apparently. I was introduced to DSM's back in February of 1989 when a buddy of mine in the Navy bought a brand new Eclipse RS. It was really futuristic looking back then and we got more attention on the freeway than a pink Lambo.
Years later after reading up on the Talon Digest and getting paper catalogs from the vendors of the day(Bushnuts, Extreme, Alamo Autosports and Archer Bros), I got my first DSM in the fall of 1996 I believe. It was a 91 Tsi AWD automatic, black with tan cloth, 71K miles. I immediately put in a K&N, boost controller and had a local muffler shop build me a 3" catback, which was considered race only at the time. I spent most of my time putting stereo stuff in it like a custom made sub box and custom kick panels. I ran a best of 14.5 with that car and sold it after I bought my current POS from Shindley as a divorce present to myself in June of 1999. By that fall I was doing repair work for some of the locals of that time. I guess it's been ten years in the scene. I should get a hat or something.

Re: The O.G. members thread.
Last time i was in MN i saw JDM (Keil), I was in the rental car with Tauni and Matt (GSXMatt), we were looking for races, and I saw police drive into a gas station, and sure enough it was Keil, I ran over there, and he was talking to his cop buddies, so i started talking about how me and him used to race our cars against each other, LOL jk, He looks like hes doing good, he tried to probe me for information as to who was racing and where, but i aint tellin shit, and he said where they were looking for trouble. LOL Good ol KDM
