I don't think 99's are any different than the 97 & 98's. Ecoli's is a 99 I think and that went 10.42. He blew 4th gear and later blew the motor or something but that was a 6 bolt and the tranny is no different than 97 or 98. Unless you've owned every year of 2nd gen, that's a pretty opinion-ated statement. If you only own a 99 and you're always breaking your 99, of course you're gonna say 99's are always broken. It all comes down to the abuse you lay down to it not the year the car was born.
