Boring rant, advice would be cool though.
So yesterday i broke up with my g/f of 3 years. I am only 21 and it was just getting too serious for me, i mean i thought that i wanted to marry her in the future and i still think that i do. But i want to go out and have fun too, sometimes with other girls. Its hard cause we were both kinda opposite from each other, i like to dance, she doesn't, i like to drink and party a little, she doesn't. She is allergic to smoke and has anxiety problems (at least thats what she told me). But i don't know. I know that i want to be able to meet new people and not be worried about upsetting someone. Its hard too with no time because of school, homework, and trying to work.
Well thx for the space.

Re: Boring rant, advice would be cool though.
What kind of advice are you looking for? To reassure you that you made the right decision? That's something you have to figure out on your own. You are young though, so you have plenty of time to figure things out.

Just stay away man. Girls are good for two things: spending your money and breaking your heart.
Unless, of course, you can find one that will help you swap out your tranny, those ones are generally pretty decent

Re: Boring rant, advice would be cool though.
Just look at your 3 years as experience. I'm only 20, but we are still young. Feelings are fickle, it will change. Opposites don't attract. Do what scheides said, find one that will fix your car, not demand to ride in it.

Hey, that's not what I said! I said find one that will help you fix your car, i.e. get involved with your stuff, not chastise, blame, and hate you for it!

You made the right choice. Find one that actually enjoys the activities that you do. This advice goes great for someone else on this board too actually.

Almost all women are crazy. The reason I say almost is because I haven't met all of them yet.

Re: Boring rant, advice would be cool though.
wow, i didn't expect any response. After being together so long she is actually learning to like what i like. I was in the middle of teaching her to drive a manual, and she does always ask to help work on my car, shes given me $$ to buy parts that i wanted/needed. She is willing to learn/try the things i do, but whatever.
Just trying to give you guys 2 sides of the story.
I think that i will try to stay single for a while before i make any decisions. I called her last night and she said that i should call her in a week.
Thanks to all, you guys rock!

The little voice inside is telling you to not get serious ?
Three years is serious.
Or are you just horny for a new mattress mambo partner?
My 2 cents. Do what that little voice in you head says and run for the hills. I believe that with most relationships people act with feelings not facts, but deep in the back of your brain the real problems are being hashed out with the reality of how you really feel fact to fact, the way you see things. I say follow your internal decisions. And good luck.

Re: Boring rant, advice would be cool though.
Thx all, well friday night i called up some friends that i hardly see,(they work full time and go out drinking a lot, i am a cheap bastard in school that likes to spend money on only my car) so i tell them i will for sure meet up with em. Well a good friend of mine calls me and says that she is out with a friend drinking and i say that i am gonna meet up the other guys and she should stop by there (she played a joke on em, so she kinda had to stop by). Well i get there and her "friend" is the ex. I was F'n furious, the girl that i had been with for 3 years that is allergic to smoke, is in Cigarette heaven and she is drunk (i could never get her drunk)She said that she was so mad/upset with me that she drank and that she stayed to see me and didn't want to leave cause i showed up.Well i don't leave and she don't want to speak to me, of course i am mad, so i down 2 Jager shots, 4 red bull/Jag in the first hour (big mistake). Anyway everyones chillin, i hear that she just kissed another guy. I am Raging (i have a little temper problem) well she is standing by me a couple of minutes later and i call her a whore and tell her that i got money in my pocket for her later, We caused a huge seen and i get escorted outside. Well she comes out and said that she wanted to teach me a lesson, cause lately we have been going thru this break up thing kinda often. Well i fucking learned my lesson, I am not letting this girl go, when i first walked in there she looked damn hot.
Thank you all for your advice
will definitely see you this summer/season and she will be there too.
Thx again
Aaron

Re: Boring rant, advice would be cool though.
Err....
Did she really kiss another guy?
And what you mean you got money in your pocket for her later?
If this was me, i'd let her go, then again, i'm one ruthless savage.
I just let mine go a few days ago after 2 1/2 years.
If they do things to piss you off to teach you a lesson just b/c they just can't understand the way your feeling (which this always happens to me), then its not worth it. The cycle of lessons will repeat.
But i'm not you, so in your case, you might be different than me.
Good luck with the lady.

Re: Boring rant, advice would be cool though.
Yea Im not sure about that last deal you had with her at the bar... If it was me in that situation shed be gone for acting like that. What did you need to be taught a lesson about? If its because you want to have fun and she doesnt then that is stupid.
And if she didnt kiss anyone and then lied about it that is gay and she has no right to do that. I dont know but unless you did something to really piss her off then she sounds like she has some problems. I think this problem will come up again between you two. These types of problems always come back like SleepyLazy said.

Re: Boring rant, advice would be cool though.
After reading your last incident, you need to call it quits and leave for good. You will be doing yourself a favor and she will be the one hurting. She obviously has emotional issues and is quite controlling since she is "teaching you a lesson". Don't put up with the nonsense man, find someone who appreciates and respects you for who you are. We've all been there, learn from our mistakes.

Re: Boring rant, advice would be cool though.
Alright, well thx for the help and stuff. But I am a sucker for punishment, i bought my 3rd DSM a while ago, a year after i had a fully built one and swore that was the end. If things go wrong with me and the lady, then i will have fully established that i really am a sucker for punishment.
A deep thanks for all your advice.
Aaron
(If i were rich enough, i would probably buy you all drinks, that and i might be drunk enough one night anyway)
