Re: How loud can lifter knock get?
Right before an oil change dump of bottle of Sea-Foam in your oil and let it idle for about 10 minutes with a few good revs in there. DO NOT drive your car like this. This should help clean out the lifters and hopefully get rid of some of your tick.
