Balance Shaft Removal.

Okay, I'm not sure if the Balance Shaft is part of the Internals. But I'll put it here for now. I know nothing about this Balance Shaft stuff and I'll probably be removing it while I get have the headgasket replaced sometime before the end of this year. What are the ups and downs of having it removed or keeping it in? I've heard it was better to remove it. And where can I find the removal kits for this? I was just on ebay and they have some for 6-bolts and I think I have a 7-bolt. I'll double check the oil pan later. Right now I'm getting down a list of stuff I should have done while I have the head out so any help would be appreciated. (sorry if this is in the wrong thread)
