About two weeks ago I put my AHP exhuast on dsmtrader.com, found a buyer who would buy it for 375.00$ without shipping costs. I told him to send me 45.00 for shipping and we'll call it good, but he wanted to make sure that i got enough for shipping, he insisted on sending me 3000$ in a cashiers check. His idea was then for me to send the rest of the money back to him, so about 2500$ He gave me his name, along with a few others and emailed me countless times from different emails. I recieved the check today and it looked as fake as michael jacksons nose, the bank was - Bank of America Agenices in Wisconsin, US Bank and me looked up the bank and found nothing, i still put it into my account but i will not touch i until it clears, which should be in about 2 months
I already sent a nasty email to the buyer of my exhaust and explained to him that there will be no exhaust or money sent back for at least two months(just in case it clears). What you all think, and have you guys run into similar situations? Seriously, my bank lady laughed because of how stupid the check looked and how it all sounded, she said i was being scammed all the way!
