AWD DSM's use the viscous (not vicious) coupler to keep power going to both the front and rear wheels at the same time. The rear LSD keeps power at both rear wheels, the front diff is open and could allow one of the front wheels to spin unless you install a LSD or other type of locking diff at the front.
We do get power to all 4 wheels under power as long as one of the front wheels doesn't start breaking traction.
