Our factory ECUs are actually setup to run high impendance injectors. I am not sure what side effects there might be with too much resistance. Possibly not enough power to hold the injector open or slower response, but an extra 1.5-2 ohms over a commonly used 3ohm injector might not be enough to make any difference. If there was too much resistance, it wouldn't be that hard to get the system adjusted back to normal.
