How much can she handle?

I'm just wondering how much my/our cars can handle with a stock motor and minor bolt ons. I dont want to go and break anything anytime soon on my car so I have a few questions. I have a 2.5 dp, 2.25 testpipe back, 2.5 exhaust, air filter and MBC. No modifications on the motor yet, so how much would it hurt to be boosting up to 20 on the stock turbo and motor? I'm not purposely boosting that high, its just that my MBC spikes all over the place and there is never a constant boost throughout the gears. I just had a 20 lb spike and a constant 18 lbs on the highway when I did a 65 mph downshift to 3rd to see how bad it would spike. But most of the time, the boost would be at 15-16. I know the motor is pretty strong stock, but how much can it take being stock? And how much could the 14b take being stock also? Like I've said, I didnt plan on it being so crazy...but thats just what I've had the past few weeks. I only really beat on my car like once a week, other than that, its just normally driven. Sorry if this doesnt make much sense.

How bad is it to have a whole in my downpipe?

Boost doesn't hurt the motor, detonation does.

Since I'm not knocking when I boost that much, then I should be fine for now...

That cold knock is just your lifters most likely.

Id figure out why your boost spiking. Make sure your MBC gets pressure straight from the Intake manifold. I have never had spike with my setup so Im not sure if its your MBC or how its hooked up.

I wouldnt run anything over 15PSI on a stock fuel pump... Thats not good.

Why shouldnt I run over 15 on a stock fuel pump? Its not leaning out or anything. I'm trying to keep it at under 14 lbs for the streets and over 14 for the track, but the MBC isnt working...so its all over. I'll get a fuel pump over the winter when I get some money. When you say "get pressure straight from the intake manifold" what exactly should I do? Right now I have it T'd off of the BOV line, so that should be about the same right? Hmm...if I dont preset the MBC at all, then what would that do? If I dont preset it, the ball and spring arent engaged so its unlim. boost, right? If I screw it in all the way its unlim. boost too isnt it? Thats what I dont get on that MBC. I'll go try it unscrewed at the bleeder and at ball and spring and see what that does.

Yeah, I figured it was just my lifters making the noise and the knock sensor hearing it, thats why it seems like its knocking.
