Small but fast and fun group this weekend!

Highlights:
-More 1G's showed up than evos (what!?) and all of them were dialed to eleven

-Paul's epic smoke show
-1G's towing 1G's
-Meeting random (nice) dogs in fields while watching locals drag race (in russia)
-Epic launch/burnout break while I paused to reflect at the spot I rolled my evo8 5 years ago.
-Beautiful beautiful weather, perfect timing for fall colors on simply magic roads.

5 years ago Hughes, Matt D, and I (iirc?) put together this sweet sweet route with some word-of-mouth advice and the last bomber run my evo8 ever saw...we've passed the route on to a few others, namely spazzy and its been added to/changed/tweaked and we did almost the perfect mix of short and tight twisties, sweeping rollers, and back roads high speed (56mph) bomber sections.

BeaterX didn't skip a beat and I feel a little bad brake boosting against every T&C I did and a little sad that cam's car coundn't take 9 hours (or whatever we were driving ALL DAY) of 40psi....glad I had mine turned down to ~31 it seems to so happy and reliable despite giving up a few ponies.

Lots of people backed out at the last minute on this one and I'm here to say--don't worry about it peeps! Everyone has a life and not everyone can make every event. We try and make these as much fun as possible and I hope everyone attended had as much fun as I did.

-As much as I like Fit'ness, tapes and CDs are just as fun!

I only took a few but I'll post 'em up when I get home from work!

Now that the cat's out of the bag on your upped from-roll game, we'll have to even the score on the spring cruise

Other than hitting some sand and skidding into the ditch, the Talon was rock solid getting the tar beat out of her over and over. Boost was set to wastegate pressure (18 psi) but would creep to about 26 by redline on my Tial 40mm.

All and all a really fun change of pace with the smaller group, nice and relaxing!

But its a straight shot up 35 for him lol.

I havent googled the drive time. But I remember it being a two day drive if im not mistaken. However the three times I made the drive I was moving /driving a penske truck with a car trailer with the eclipse on it verses just driving a car

Hah that's right! Man that was a great day! Bittersweet is right. That's one of the reasons I had SO much fun this weekend I think, revisiting that time. As we got closer and closer to the spot I rolled it was like my heart was just in my throat...I didn't know exactly where it was until we were about 1/2 mile from it and then I was like...dude, stop, do a burnout! And it was glorious

Question for Paul, how did you go off there? It looks like the paved road has a gradual right turn, was that where the sand was? It looks like you went off on a gravel road, but kept the wheels straight at least.
