Re: Fml this sucks

Yeah we got a big ass belt sander that could flatten that out pretty easy at MAP.

Re: Fml this sucks

it was cracked on the flange and my father brought it to the neighbor who supposebly does fabrication. I wanted to bring it to map to have the flange re welded on and call it good but he said no.
would a belt sander get it perfectly flat and even tho ? I didn't think it would but who knows

Re: Fml this sucks

That's how MAP flattens all their flanges after welding.

Re: Fml this sucks

I've flattened quite a few flanges after welding with my 3 Inch. The gasket should fill any imperfections left.

Re: Fml this sucks

I had MAP flatten my turbo and manifold flanges and did an amazing job. Sealed right up.

Re: Fml this sucks

What kind of tiny belt sander do they have?

What are the dimensions? T3 turbo flange?
I'll do it for you.

Edit: I think I may know the problem, is the wastegate flange lower than the turbo flange? If so, I could temporarily cut it off to sand the turbo flange flat, then re-weld back on if you want. Would be much cheaper than a new manifold.

Re: Fml this sucks

I have no clue what they have. My manifold is at some shop my dad brought it to so they can mess it up even more ! I think my dad needs to listen to me when it comes to these types of thing. Not sure what kind of manifold it is to be honest it is a t3 and when he welded it he migd it so idk if the wastegate flange is removable now it would be hard to get to
