Re: Auto 3

So me an 99gsxjoel did a lot today. We pulled the 6 bolt out of the 1G and dropped the rear end. Now it's tucked under the mirage waiting to get put in.

Rear end is a 4 bolt LSD w/ braided brake lines.

Also started to look at fuel cells and pretty sure I'm got run in line Bosch pump. With lines pump cell fittings and cell brackets. Runs right around $600-$800

Making progress!

The Ford GT pumps are not 310lph, they flow about the same or slightly less than a Walbro 255.

Re: Auto 3

Just want to confirm before I do anything with the trans.

Tim Zimmer ( tmz performance) said all yrs 2g trans an t-cases wil be compatible with the 1G rear diff. Only difference being auto to manual.

So I plan on getting a t-case and trans from a buddy. It's a 98 manual trans and matching t-case. Just want someone to confirm what I read that it will indeed work with the 1G rear diff. Can use manual front parts with auto rears and vice versa.

To keep the project moving I'm gonna start cleaning up the rear subframe/diff. I ordered the rear energy bushing kit last night. So hopefully here by Friday.

Re: Auto 3

Yea, it should. I have run 2G trans/t-case in 1Gs before.

Re: Auto 3

Just gotta match t-case with trans. 95-96 trans w/92-96 case 97-99 trans w/ 97-99 case. Rears are the same.

Awesome! Thanks for confirming.

That's another step done then. Just need to send it out for refresh.

*probably should change my thread title since I'm going 5 spd so I can whip this bish around some cones and possibly open her up in some road racing.

Then I was misinformed. These pumps will definitely be replaced this spring then!

Nice progress! I can't wait to see this thing done

Re: Auto 3

I've got that same box of bushings, rockauto sent me them when I ordered what was supposed to be a set of front control arm bushings. I decided to keep them and I'll be putting them in soon.

Haha you got it easy, your subframe is already out. If you have press tools and torch just in case you shouldn't have any problems. I'm doing mine soon, I'll be dropping the tank, and rear subframe. going to install this white line rear sway bar and run new fuel line. I might find a set of active toe eliminator while I'm at it.
