sleepydsm's old engine

Edit- this is a video, click on it.



So everyone knows kevin, well the new owner of his old talon Wade pulled the engine out of the talon this last weekend to strip it down to get it ready for the machine shop. Here is what we found. Whats a thrust bearing? haha

I believe we are looking at the crank on the oil pump side, I believe it was an attempt at showing a messed up thust bearing. just poorly executed.

Next time I will add directions. We checked how much play and there was .024. I think normal play is .002-.007 max

Wooo! I made it on the interwebs lol. I will be dropping this block off along with the head to see if it can be used this season. Im keeping my fingers crossed, but a pretty good amount of damage had taken place. I think that the web that main bearing rides on may be toast.

Yes I would say that the play is a little excessive, roughly 8x over excessive haha. I am dropping the block off at John Gosh's place mid week and hopefully will know what I need by the end of the week.
