Arrow woah CLUTCH HELP!

My clutch is getting pretty weak and sometime grindy if I try to drop it into second. Second is the worste. I need help in finding a new clutch. I don't want it to be crazy expensive, labor is bad enough. So if anyone knows where there are some cheap good clutches, let me know please.

Re: woah CLUTCH HELP!

Are you sure your clutch is the issue, and not the transmission itself?

Are you getting proper pedal engagement?

Is the clutch slipping?

Do you even know what I'm asking?

Re: woah CLUTCH HELP!

Yeah I'm pretty sure its the clutch. Its getting hard to push into gear sometimes even with the clutch to the floor. No its not slipping out of gear, just getting hard to get into gear.

Re: woah CLUTCH HELP!

Have you tried adjusting the clutch master cylinder and bleeding the hydraulic system?

Re: woah CLUTCH HELP!

Pour some clutch repair fluid in the breather hole on the top of the bellhousing.

Its the round silver looking thing the part that covers your clutch flywheel etc. part of your transmission the mouth of it i guess. Closest part to the engine there you go, if that helps picture it.

Sprinkle sawdust in there too..it acts as a friction material, and helps grip better.

Re: woah CLUTCH HELP!

I'd adjust your clutch first, under the dash, there's an adjustment nut on the clutch arm. If that doesn't work, you might need a clutch, but most likely your second gear synchro is shot. It's common on a lot of cars, especially ours.

Re: woah CLUTCH HELP!

If your transmission only grinds going into a certain gear it is not your clutch, it is the transmission.

Re: woah CLUTCH HELP!

well it isnt only second gear that its hard to get into, thats just the most common one because thas usually the most common gear i use so i notice it most. but its hard to shift into all gears if the rpms are up. and down shifting is kinda tough too.
