AFC help!

Alright, So I bought a car last year haven't had time to do anything with it because I have been out of state working, but i recently came home and the car has the following mods... sls fmic "race" kit, pte scm60-1 (57trim) turbo, pte 750 injectors, greddy rs bov,act 2100 clutch ,safc2,eprom ecu, drilled rotors, h&r lowering springs, kosei k1 16" rims, 3" turbo back exhaust, o2 dump.

I live about 2 hours north of MPLS so there is no where to get it tuned up here I need a rough setting so I can "limp" the car down to MPLS to get it tuned, I would trailer the car, but I have no truck/trailer. Any help would be greatly apprecaited, and I know with these rough settings I can not just call it a day and drive it around, I NEED them to get to MPLS to get it tuned. Thank you all.

Re: AFC help!

Is the ECU chipped for the 750cc injectors? That clutch is a bit weak for that setup.

Re: AFC help!

yes the ecu is chipped to my knowledge atleast I was told it was. Yah I am in the process of saving up for a clutch. Probably going to use the stimlus check to get something better. Is there anyway I can tell if the ECU is chipped?

Re: AFC help!

Depending on who burned the chip, there may be a sticker on it. You just need to open up the ECU and see if it's been socketed and a chip installed.

Re: AFC help!

If the chip is setup for your injectors and MAS, then it should run fine and be able to be driven to a dyno for boost tuning. If it isn't then just order one from Keydiver. If the chip matches the parts and it doesn't drive worth a crap, then something else is wrong with the car.

Re: AFC help!

we're not going to be able to give you a rough setting. Its different for each car. You only need to tune the low maps for the drive down there. They can tune the high for you. I didn't see any gauges listed.. do you have a wideband or datalogger? Those are really the only solid way to tune it. You can do it by the seat of your pants method, but without knowing the AFR you're going to have issues with being too rich or too lean, both of which are no good.

Re: AFC help!

You should have DSMLink or atleast a chipped ECU for injectors that big though. The SAFC alone will probably run into tuning problems. On pump gas it will probably knock and on race gas it probably won't be able to lean it out enough.

Re: AFC help!

Yes the ECU is chipped, and I have a PDA data logger thing.. haha don't know the correct name for it. but the kid who had the car before me I believe he was messing with the AFC and the settings are alll F'ed up. Also Shane where do you work now because I would like to have you tune my car, since I know you have done it a few times.
