weird problem

hey, i have a very weird problem with my 91 Tsi, i have taken some advice from previous posts, but it all happened in one night, it always runs a bit rough, but my o2 wire melted and failed about 3 weeks ago, and my car started to run rough after it warmed up, and some people suggested it could be a loop problem with the ecu, but i checked the ecu and it is fine, and i dont have any boost leaks that i know of, but it has the same characteristics as if i had blown ic pipe, and to explain it, it warms up and basically stops running, idle is terrible, and it gets loud, i did replace the 02 wire, but i cant figure it out, i have been running really rich, could it be overrun with fuel?-i dont know, but i want to blow it up, but if anyone has any suggestions, let me know because it will not run, i can give it 7 percent throttle and it will bogg out bad !---thanks

Re: weird problem

How can you tell if it is running rich? (Wideband??)
Have you tested your ECU with another one? (may be bad but not visable)
Did you pressurize the air system? (Real boost leak tester)
What injectors and tuning method?
What gas and how old?
Your 02 sensor melting may of damaged the ecu with wires all touching and shorting out other areas of the ECU or wiring harness itself

Re: weird problem

could also be a bad maf if your still using one, or your o2 sensor is richening everything up by throwing a bad signal..
