Possible PINKS Project

I was just throwing out there to see if anyone else thought that it would be a good idea to get a group going here in Minnesota for the PINKS show. Post what you think of the idea and if it is worth it or not for next year.

Well should we put up a poll or see what people will contribute to a project.

Re: Possible DSMStyle PINKS Project

I have no desire to have the name of this site anywhere on that show. The only benefit to a shop would be to get a name out there and hope they don't look like most of the other people who "race" on that show.

I've taken the site name out of the thread.

Re: Possible PINKS Project

It would be cool, and i would try to help anyway i could.

But Pinks makes the drivers/team look dumb.
For example, it would be like me racing against say swanny's stealth.

The cars are never evenly matched and someone always gets fucked.

We were looking into this, but in order to be REALLY nice you need to put some money into it... And we aren't about to give several lengths to somebody so they have a better chance to win our faster car lol.

Plus the car would have to last all 5 races.

Re: Possible PINKS Project

They need to turn on the clock and do either bracket racing or race head to head and none of that you get blah blah car lengths b.s.

Re: Possible PINKS Project

Or else if they would limit it to a single car length that would be ten times better, None of this "I want 15 car lengths because your stickers add 900 hp" bs.

Uhhh they give the cars right back.

TCStangs had a thread on this cause Pinks took place @ CFR in IA when some TCStangs members where down there. After the race the cars where retunred to the owners.

I think the owners had worked out an agreement before hand to be able to buy the losing car back for $1.

Yeah, I think if you search around different forums you find people talking about similar agreements to get the car back.

Re: Possible PINKS Project

I have thought about this a few times...have a good plan....build a car that runs good on motor(but install active nitrous kit), run the first race or 2 n/a and bargain with the nitrous like u need it when u dont, so there for if the only way they will race is if u dont have nitrous u have a strong ass motor....and if u comes down to the last race give thenm say 2-3 extra lengths plus nitrous, that u havent used yet and u kick there ass cuz u have a whole new car id be a great bargainer for that show

Or even run a high low boost switch and run low boost for the 1st couple races
