Re: No more R for race....
its got 145k on the body but the motor was replaced about 30k mi ago.
it needs a little tlc...
the two rear shocks are blown but its still less bouncy then the gsx, the master cylinder will need to be replaced soon. other then that the body is in decent shape for a 11 year old car. im gonna clean her up today, and swap the rims and tires, and a couple of the things listed. but yeah it was a great steal. the guy just wanted it out of his garage, he just got a honda crv and had no use for it.
he also financed me being that i didnt just have 2k to drop on a car after my car took a shit and being that we just paid rent.

Looks like my old car. I gave it to some banker guy in Kansas.
Awsome job on the color choice as well!

Re: No more R for race....
ya know, you drive a car for long enough and you think its fast (the GSX auto trans) and then you get a car like this and god damn i realise just how much my car is fucking slow. the a/t takes so much away from the dsm its unbelievable.

Re: No more R for race....
Sounds to me like it put way to much strain on the stock tranny. If you would have built it up ahead of time with new end clutches and a beafed up shift kit and torque converter it would have probably lasted awhile. An aftermarket tranny cooler would have been ideal as well since DSM trannys under high stress like to get above 200 degrees F which leads them to an early death.
Good luck with the wheel hopping, FWD, axle breaking, GST though.

End Clutches: Check
Shift Kit: Check
Stall Converter: Check
Tranny Cooler: Check
Fresh Synth Fluid: Check
We' see here pretty soon, <soon as I can get into LSE> if my luck is any better with the TCUGO!
