Paypal... or wtfpal
I have been using Paypal since it came out. I am not trying to bash Paypal. I think it's awsome but has anyone here ever been screwed over by Paypal? I can't believe Paypal is doing this to me.
Last month a new guy on these forums by the name of "untouchable" posted an add about wanting an ecu. I replied back to his post and we figured things out. He sent me payment for the ecu and came to my house to pick it up. Everything was fine and life went on. Two weeks after the purchase I recieve an email from Paypal stating there was a temporary hold on the transaction between me and him. First thought was wtf is going on here. I replied back to Paypal's email answering all of their questions and some shit about seller protection. Then I send out an email to untouchable about this. His reply was that he didn't know what was going on and it must of been a mistake. Paypal will correct it within 48hrs. Ok I'll wait then. On comes a fucking week and still nothing. Send them another email. 2 more days later I recieve another email from Paypal stating the funds have been reversed and I am now in a negative balance. There was absolutely no explaination for this. The only response I got from them was that I was unable to provide tracking information. I am sort of lost to why this pertains to my situation. I guess because I did not have his address resulting in Paypal screwing me over?!? Why the fuck is this happening in the first place!? I sent out another email to untouchable. It's been a few days now and no repsonse yet. Anyway now I am out some money & negative & feels like I pretty much gave away my ecu and I don't think I will get neither back.

Re: Paypal... or wtfpal
Sounds to me like "untouchable" filed a complaint or something with Paypal and ended up f*cking you over.

Yeah, sounds like he F'd you over. I would pay him a visit. Paypal protects the buyer well, but the seller can get screwed easily.

Re: Paypal... or wtfpal
Yup, he fucked ya. Paypal is so automated that the only way funds get reversed is by individual contact by a buyer, seller, or banking institution for lack of funds or identy theft.

Re: Paypal... or wtfpal
Why didn't he pay in person? Paypal isn't a very safe or reliable way to transfer money.

I agree, he pays with PayPal, but picks it up in person? He set you up to not have the shipping info, because there wasn't any. You can't prove sending it, you can't prove he ever got it.

Re: Paypal... or wtfpal
Yeah I know.. it felt kinda fishy I didn't know this fag would do that but what can I do about it now. untouchable's name is Mike Roush. If I ever see him something will happen. Just pisses me off how this fuck can do this and get away with it leaving me empty and Paypal backs him up with a refund. How sweet. What can I say, lesson learned.

Re: Paypal... or wtfpal
Paypal sucks they f'd me and chris over. The company is like a switchboard with not to many people running it. A red light light's up and they pull the plug easy as that, and there's nothing you can do.

Is he local? If you even have a clue as to where his general location is I might be able to pull his home address and phone number.

Re: Paypal... or wtfpal
He lives near owatonna, there are a few members here on the board that are from around there, glad I didn't sell him my ecu if this is the case.
Maybe it was a mistake? Eitherway, owatonna area is a starting point.

I checked in Owatonna and all of MN. The name doesn't show up. Either he lives with his parents or the house is in someone else's name. Check the name the payment went to in Paypal - THAT will be his right name. I'm not so sure he even gave you the right name.

Noob:
Mike Roush is a real member on here, I've met him in person and delt with him at QPR. He lives int he Owatonna AREA, I just know he lives south of Lakeville, and north of IA. I know its a big area, but I vagely remember him living in that area. There are a few members on this board that are part of his 'crew' of friends, maybe they will have some insite. He might live with his friends, or his parents, I am not sure.
Emcee gsxtc- He is a friend of Mike's.
