Re: New Magnus Race Manifold

And that's defiantely true, but to tell me it is completely different from his design in regards to almost every factor except for the velocity stack design pretty much told me that they detuned that bad boy pretty significantly and geared it more towards the street, and my car is definately not "street" any more...Plus they were jerks, and I don't buy form jerks

Re: New Magnus Race Manifold

Ummm, yes I trailer it most of the time, but I have driven it on a few occasions around the house. It is definately not stock sounding, or I would drive it more

Re: New Magnus Race Manifold

Race or not, your not anywhere near making 1200 whp, so your needs are different than Shep's. Putting his parts together for anybody else doesn't equal 7's.

Put yourself in AMS's shoes. Every 18 year DSM'r in the country reads that Shep runs 7's with their manifold. I bet their phone is ringing off the hook with people wanting that same manifold so they can go fast. I'd say they're just being realistic. Marco's take is a bit different. If you've got the cash, he'll give you whatever you want, no questions asked. Marco's a true salesman.

Re: New Magnus Race Manifold

If you didnt get those obstructions in your runners out i have a "custom" air tool bit thats about 6-8" long and i am capable of making longer ones, but you know it will jump alot when you try to grind, but if you are patient it works when its the only way

Re: New Magnus Race Manifold

We may try and attack those obstructions this winter, but I don't think they will be of major interference.

And although I am not making 1200 whp, I'm making a bit more than your average "18 year DSM'r in the country." Everyones needs are different, and as a strictly race car I wanted a larger plenum and a larger TB flange. AMS couldn't deliver, Magnus did and that's that...
