I have some bull shit jury duty tomorrow. The shitty thing is I have to keep calling up untill noon to see if it was settled out of court and if no tthen I go in for an hour of video to prep for this shit. Then I go through selection. Then if I am on the jury god knows how long it will be. All this shit with the new business now going.
Just had to vent. Been a shitty night. My Dell Laptop also took a shit on me. It won't go past the fucking Windows XP welcome screen. Safe mode, Safe mode with comand prompt, you name it, I b phucked! Only way around it that I see thus far is a complete re install, which I can't do since I have hit saved in email that I simple can't be without.
Oh yeah and I have this rash on my.... ahh nevermind, Only Chris and Tom like hearing about that anyway.

1) Give your comp to Mike
2) I'll send those porn emails back to you
3) Use some Hydrocortisone 1% followed by Vanicream..works wonders

Allan, put in the Windows XP CD and go through like you're doing an install, but do the automated restore option. See if that helps.

generaly i haven't had good luck with the suggestion that MattD suggested... the worst it can hapen is that you end up with the same problem you are heaving right now....
on the other hand i think i might have the HD adaptor and you can take that HD and pop it into a regular machine, get the data off of it and then rebuild it.

Hopefully you will be able get out of the jury duty, I agree, it would suck and they don't compensate the time well at all.
As far as the comp goes, when you bring it to the shop, we can run a couple utilities I have on it that are on a bootable disk to verify the hard drive and ram etc. Since all this happened as a result of slamming the lid too hard, I am guessing some type of hardware damage is the cause. I also have the adapter to put the hard drive in the regular machine and ghost it to another drive if we need to. We shall see.
As far as the rash, no more info please!

LOL. I had to go through that a while ago. It was in Carver County though, and apparantly there weren't any trials or something, I called up every morning, and there was a message that said I wouldn't have to go in. That sucks about your computer though.

Just be thankful you are on jury duty in Sherburne County and not Hennipen where you'd have be going downtown.....you have to look on the positive side.
I still think it'd be cool to be on jury duty. But that's just the weirdo in me.

What are you doing at home yet (at 11:40)? I thought you had to be there at 11am?
You will just have to catch the snap-on guy another time.....

All you jury duty whinners just need to step up to the plate and just get a felony. Then you don't have to do spit. Don't have to do jury duty, army, vote or carry a concealed weapon (optional). Geeze just do it and get it over with.

that's crazy, i was supposed to show up for jury duty on the 15th at 815 in the morning. but im kinda in the marines and stationed in Arizona. So i called up monday at like 6:30 here, which is like 7:30 there. Told em i was supposed to have jury duty but obviously can't go, so they asked when i had it, and i told em in like an hour, and she kinda laughed, but said its all good, i don't gotta go now. That woulda been wierd tho that i woulda had that jury duty with u prolly.
