Question Question: 2g to 1g throttle body swap info needed

Ok, anyone that's done the 2g to 1g throttle body swap please help me. I'm putting a 1g tb on my 99 GSX. I read that i will be using my 2g t.p.s. and putting it on the 1g tb.

The tps that's on the 2g tb is in a differnt clock position than the 1g one. Question, when i put my 2g tps on the 1g tb, do i put it in the position that it was in on the old 2g tb or do i put it in the position that the 1g tps was before i removed it?

Thanks.

You need to go through the process of recalibrating the TPS, so that it is in exactly the right position. The 2G factory manual tells how to do it.

Did you open up the hole into your intake manifold for the bigger TB?

Thanks guys for the information....

ecoli- I have a brand new Magnus 2g SMIM. I'll have to see if the opening is the same as the tb.
