winter car storage

Anyone have or know of a place private or public where I could safely store a car indoors for the winter? I would prefer heated of course, but indoors is the most important. I am looking at a car down in Atlanta and don't really have anywhere to put it for the winter. A lot of the places I have called are already locked up for the season.

Re: winter car storage

Just put the mini under a cover or get one of those cheap sheds and a space heater

That sounds really nice, I can't find it in the phone book; do you know their name or number by chance?

Hey Chris, there is a guy in Lakeville that stores cars every year. Jet and I stored ours there last year, and he only charged us like 140 dollars for the whole winter. I don't have his number but maybe Jet still has the PM from MNracing.

I think I know who you are talking about, its on a dirt road in a barn or something right?

We put the Miata there last winter. It was cheap, but for good reason. The car was covered with cat prints when we pulled it out and there were some new dents on the aluminum hood and trunk. Not going back.

Re: winter car storage

Make sure you disconnect the battery. I ruined a near brand new battery last winter. It was an Exide battery. I think the ECU still draws power even with the car off so it drained it down to nothing and was unchargeable. It had a prorated warranty but still.........
