aly's new D.D. 01 mirage sedan

so last night in the shout box Pat posted a link to a mirage on CL for dirt cheap and I said dont temp me. So any way I shot the guys a text at 1145pm and went over to look at it 12am and ended up picking it up for 500.00 he wanted 600.00. the t.belt was never done has 140k on it. the belt is stripped on the crank pully so it will be a nice easy fix.

2001 mirage 1.8 auto power locks and windows
This is going to be here new D.D. she wanted an auto car and we could not pass up the deal for it.
as for upgrades it will be getting
for power
intake and filter
s.s. header (stock one is crushed)
looks
going all oem evo 4
hood
trunk
wing
side skirts
front and rear bumpers
inside
evo 9 rear seat
black cloth front seats (they look just like my evo 3 seats)

got a new water pump today and t.belt got it all on since I did not trust what the pot heads had said was wrong with the car any way this is what I found out

so 30min later the car looks like this ]

the head

the cam bolt is striped out also so I will take it out and put a new one in if I fix this head

the bent valves 4 on #4 and 2 on #3

yeah, that mirage is not going to stay stock for very long or 4g63 less...

the car is not going 4g63t any time that Aly will be driving it. that would mean it would have to be a 5 speed and she does not want that. Also there is no way in hell I will pay for a evo 4 front clip. The last one I know of in the US is 4500.00. Then I would have to get the rear end,fuel tank,rear floor cut, drive shaft. It is just way to much to swap this car.

But I could just put a turbo on the 1.8. and reflash the ecu. The guys are using the same as evo 8's to reflash them to turbo them now so they are not using the crappy greddy emange.

As for the hatch it is not going any were it is going to be my D.D. and I now get to have my way it. So it will be swapped to awd

Chris dont worry. I am going to get this running and the 93 sedan asap. then the 93 is getting sold to jarrid or going to trade it to him for sam's 2gb awd auto that is stock and sell that. Then the evo 2.4 is getting done and it will come apart for paint. I am trying to get it all done by the cook out so it will be all painted for the first time since forever it seems

no they did not the blue straps are for my car dolly. I tossed them in the car when I took it off the dolly and pushed the car up the drive way. I love the nice flat drive way with no curb makes it so easy to move a car by your self.

so I know have 3 cars not running in the drive way. If colin comes over today and picks up the talon shell that will look like less junk in the drive way for the city stand point.

hot tanked the valve cover at work. and found rust on it. so I put it in the glass bead blaster and cleaned it all the way up. It is now painted hot pink

Any reason as to why all your valve covers are painted hot pink? Just curious, I guess I'm not in the loop.
