i have a feeling anyone who lists local shops other than the three supported by this site will be edited with extreme prejudice. have you talked to mike about this though? i think he's experienced in this type of work. might as well support the new shop right?

NOT TRUE.

On a side note I was referred to a Place called Kennedy Transmission. Not sure where they are at. I am just going with a new aftermarket Tranny for the beast come Spring.

There has got to be some diesel specialty shops in the Twin Cities area. If you come up dry and would be interested in taking your truck down to NE Iowa, I can get the number of a shop that specializes in automatic trannys. Better yet, here's their website: http://www.gbtransmissions.com/

Kennedy is a big chain of tranny shops. Paul Brand recomends them on his radio show. Probably paid to do so. I use Buffalo Transmisson in Buffalo. They fixed my diveshaft for free on my rally car after I blew up a spyder. All of the other people I have talked to have good things to say. I have them do all of my tranny maintanace on my conversion van. It's a ways out but its a very clean, professional shop that stands behind there stuff without any argument.

Is it even necessary to throw out comments like this Blake?

I would try Kennedy or the place Eric mentioned. I have heard of people having problems after taking their vehicle to Aamco (or whatever it's called) Tranny shop...

Blake was only making an observation to previous occurances. About Ammco for tranny work...steer clear, my dad brought his tranny there and had nothing but problems from day 1 with the thing. I do hear good things about Kennedy, but look around, I bet you can find a HD truck specialty shop.

im not trying to start a fight, im pointing out that you edited out a name last time someone listed a shop other than elite, sls, or qpr. besides, its a movie quote not a pot shot. apparently no one recognizes "terminate his command with extreme prejudice." it was a joke; you guys took offense so im sorry. even if i hadn't been joking, i dont see how you can take offense when you did EXACTLY what i said recently.

Not another word chill the hell out everybody... next finger pointed gets broken..

now show some

I was sold a service waranty by Friendly Chev that was void before it was sold due to having snow plow electrical already on the truck. so i am playing phone tag with them to at least get my waranty money back which would cover 40% of the cost of a performance trany.

Sue the fuckers to make them pay for the tranny since they sold you the warrenty for that specific truck, which just happened to have plow stuff on it. They should have known that it did, their loss your gain.

If the waranty don't cover it i will be most likely contacting my lawyer... but i've never sued anyone because i have ways of making other people do stuff without the damn blood sucking lawyers...

this is what i'd want

All DTT's Performance Transmission are built with the highest quality parts, both internal and external. We have modified these transmissions to accommodate the power that the Cummins produces. Here are some of the components that separate DTT from the rest:

Performance Valve Body with Gaskets and Band Anchor.
Performance Torque Converter
Mag-Hytec Pan
4.4 ratio lever
Custom Clutches
Upgraded from 4 clutch pack to 5 clutch pack
High energy 2nd gear band
2nd gear band strut
Billet Piston
Front Servo
Accumulator Piston
New Wiring Components

At DTT we believe that quality comes first, that's why all transmissions are built by Bill Kondolay, an expert transmission technician. All DTT products are backed by a satisfaction guarantee. Full tech support with all products. At DTT we believe that the job isn't finished until you are satisfied.

THE ONLY CHOICE FOR THOSE WHO DEMAND THE BEST!

this is the gain
65 Rear Wheel Horsepower and 180 Foot Pounds of Torque with a customized valve body addressing pressures.

and its only $3200
and a dealer quoted me $3k to $5k in overhaul costs FUK THAT, i'm going to take the truck off their lot before they start working on it and go pickup the damn keys later
